We delight in creating exciting cuisine which utilises the very best that Exmoor and North Devon offers. We buy local produce - meat and fish, from local day boats, which is fresh, of the highest quality and very low in food miles. We have an expanding kitchen garden in which we grow herbs, salads and our own vegetables.
Our talented executive chef, Thomas Frost, is a native North Devonian who has a wealth of more than 15 years cooking experience gained at some of the best restaurants in London, Bristol and North Devon. Thomas's commitment to using the abundant natural larder on our doorstep in producing dishes of the highest quality is paramount.
We always ensure that we offer a good selection of fresh North Coast fish and seafood, trying to ensure that the species we use are not from threatened or depleted fish stocks.
Our meat is from award-winning Heale Farm who are passionate about promoting traditional breeds and animal welfare.
Cleanliness and hygiene are of utmost importance and the kitchens were recently awarded a 5 star award for food hygiene.
