The welfare of our guests and our staff is always our first priority. We have been working hard, carrying out risk assesments and developing new, adapted working practices in accordance with recommendations and guidelines from the Institute of Hospitality. When you visit us again, you can be assured that we have done all we can to keep you and your loved ones safe.
The Old Rectory is a small, privately run, boutique hotel which is licenced for residents only. As our facilities are not open to the general public, the only people you will come into contact with will be our staff and your fellow guests, of which there will be a maximum of 14 other people. This means that your potential exposure to the virus is reduced. For us to comply with 2 metre distancing rules, we will be operating with a reduced number of rooms, which will be a total of 8. We intend to maintain 2m distancing, as we feel this is best practice.
Our hotel operations have been reviewed and amended in accordance with industry guidelines. We have looked at every aspect of our guests’ journey and experience and considered how our services can be delivered safely and as well as we possibly can. We have documented our customer journey and how this will be adapted for you to read and we hope that this will give you some assurance so that when you Stay Here, you Stay Safe.
To give our guests additional confidence we have applied for Covid Confident Accreditaion with the AA , an assessment scheme that will support the hospitality industry in re-establishing and rebuilding consumer confidence as the UK prepares to come out of lockdown.
We have aquired a JLA Sanitiser machine. Usually used in hospitals and care homes, it offers an all-in-one solution that eliminates both germs and odours easily. Using the natural disinfection properties of ozone, the system removes unwanted bacteria from the air and surfaces with none of the damage, smells or harmful chemical residue that can come with using traditional methods of disinfection. The bedroom is ready to be safely used within 45 minutes.
We are training our people in our new ways of working and we look forward to welcoming you, as our guest, after 12th July.
For our hotel guests, we have looked at each step of the customer journey to assess how we can keep you as safe as possible, whilst still giving you as much of the outstanding “Old Rectory” experience we can.
*Please note: our processes and precautions will be under constant review, and this guide will be constantly updated to give you the very latest information. We will, of course, always comply with all government regulations and industry recommendations – and more.
