Part Time House Keeping Staff

 

We are looking for a smart and friendly person to join our daytime team 2 or 3 mornings a week.  The role involves assisting with breakfast service and servicing our luxurious and stylish bedrooms to the high standards expected by our guests. You should be a stickler for detail who enjoys delivering great customer service.  You should be happy to work both in a small team and independently, often to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensure housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
  • Respond timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items like shampoo, extra towels, pillows etc.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Report necessary maintenance items.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Experience of working in a high end but unstuffy environment would be an advantage, although not necessary as full training will be given.

We anticipate that this role will start in March and run until the end of October. Hours will be either 8am til 2pm or 9.30/ 10am til 2pm

Part Time Evening Waiting Staff – 2 Evenings per week

 

We are looking for a smart, outgoing person  to join our restaurant team for a minimum of 2 evenings per week including a Monday and Friday evening.  At The Old Rectory, we have an excellent reputation for delicious fresh locally sourced food in our resident’s dining room, working with our talented head chef, Thomas Frost.

We are looking for a friendly person to join our evening team for this coming season.  The role involve serving pre dinner drinks & canapes as well as waiting at tables during dinner service. You will also assist with clearing away, washing up and laying tables. Experience of working in a high end but unstuffy environment would be an advantage, although not necessary as full training will be given.

We anticipate that this role will start in March and run until the end of October. Hours will be 6.30pm to 10.30 pm (4 hours)

Breakfast Chef - Up to 5 mornings a week

We are looking for a friendly competent cook to join our kitchen team for between 2 and 5 mornings a week on weekdays only and with no weekend work.  This is an opportunity to join the kitchen brigade in one of the best regarded,  award winning hotels on Exmoor.  The role involves cooking our delicious breakfast menu, using top quality ingredients,  to the high standards expected by our guests. You should be a competent chef or home cook who enjoys cooking delicious and exciting breakfast whilst delivering great customer service.  You should be happy to work both in a small team and independently, often to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook our breakfast menu for up to a maximum of 22 guests
  • Monitor and order ingredients as necessary
  • Ensure hygeine standards are followed.
  • Hours 7.30 am to 11.30 am from 2 up to 5 weekdays each week but must include Thursday & Friday
  • Full training provided
  • Oversee the running of the kitchen during and after service
  • Follow all safety and hygeine policies
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
